Chapter Two
Nine months later the Gilberts gave birth to a baby girl and they named her Sandra because she looked so much like her mom. Few weeks after Sandra turned three God blessed them with another child, a baby girl she was called Abigail.
Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert were so happy for God did not abandon them like they thought, they shared their testimony in church and this encouraged other couples who were praying for the fruit of the womb. The parents brought both girls up in the way of the Lord and they both grew up to become beautiful girls
Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert made sure they never lacked anything, they went to the best primary and secondary school and they also had lots of clothes, shoes and plenty of love and affection from both parent.
14years later, Sandra Gilbert finished secondary school while Abigail was still in ss1; they were brilliant, smart and intelligent so it was not strenuous for Sandra when she sat for JAMB at her tender age. Her mother refused to enroll her in the university because she wanted them both to enroll at the same time so that they could look out for each other. Sandra was pissed at the idea but she could not disobey her mother and she had no choice but to wait for her younger sister. By the time Sandra turned 16, Abigail was 14 and she was through with her WAEC exams.
A year later, Abigail enrolled for JAMB and she came out in flying colors. Sandra and Abigail both applied for admission at Covenant University and they were both admitted into the University.
After they were admitted, their parent paid their school bill including the hostel fees they also provided the necessary things they needed to study hard. They both thanked their parent and promised never to let them down.
Sandra was studying pure and applied Chemistry while Abigail was studying French. They continued facing their studies and never had time for social activities that were organized on Campus. Though they had many suitors, they never had relationship with guys because their mom had informed them that having a relationship would make them deviate from what they were sent to do school.
Few years later, both sisters graduated from Covenant University with 2nd class upper division. They both called their parent to tell them the good news and they were so happy to hear about their good performance in school.
Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert told the girls to tell them the date of the school graduation beforehand because they were both on a business trip in South Africa.
